3/4ounce whiskey or bourbon
3/4ounce Cognac
3/4ounce sweet vermouth
1/2teaspoon Benedictine
2dashes Peychaud's bitters
2dashes Angostura bitters
Lemon twist


  1. Stir the whiskey, Cognac, vermouth, Benedictine and bitters in a stirring glass with 2 cups of ice, until cold.
  2. Strain into a rocks glass (with ice cubes, preferably one large one) and garnish with a lemon twist.
