Quick-and-Easy Pie Crust

  • Yield: 8 servings


1cup all-purpose flour
1/2cup natural wheat and barley cereal
1/4cup canola oil
4tablespoons ice water


  1. In a food processor or mixing bowl, mix together flour and cereal. Add oil, stirring until mixed. Gradually add water, mixing until dough sticks together to form a ball. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour, if time permits. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough into a 1/4-inch thick circle to fit into a pie plate. Transfer to a pie plate. Preheat oven to 350F.  Bake crust for 30 to 35 minutes or until done. If filling pie, follow directions of the pie recipe.
