Party Cheese Ball

"This is a favorite when I make it for church dinners. Everyone goes for it."


8ounces grated Cheddar cheese
8ounces softened cream cheese
1/2medium onion, minced
2tablespoons dried chives, or 3 tablespoons fresh, chopped fine
2tablespoons mayonnaise
1/2cup chopped fresh parsley
1cup pecans, well chopped


  1. Mix together all ingredients (except parsely and pecans) and form a ball.
  2. Roll in parsley and pecans until evenly coated.
  3. Chill until serving time.
