Luscious Lemon Bars

  • Yield: 12 to 15 servings


1cup butter, softened (do not use margarine)
1/2cup powdered sugar
dash salt
2cups flour
4-- eggs, beaten
2cups granulated sugar
1/4cup flour
6tablespoons lemon juice
-- Powdered sugar


  1. To make crust:  Combine all crust ingredients in a bowl and mix well.  Press flat into ungreased 9×13-inch pan.  Bake at 350F for 15 minutes until lightly browned.
  2. To make filling:  Combine flour and sugar.  Mix in beaten eggs and lemon juice.  Pour into slightly cooled crust and bake at 350F for 25 minutes or until set.
  3. Cool and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
