green and white salad

  • Yield: 4-8 servings


1head broccoli
1/2head cauliflower
2-- Ripe Avocados
1-- lemon
1/2teaspoon salt


Chop the stems of the broccoli and cauliflower and steam them with the florets until they are just tender (3-5 minutes)   Cut Avocados in half and scoop out the flesh with a tablespoon.  Chop the avocados into 1/2 inch cubes then sprinkle them with the juice of the lemon and  the salt.  Mix the broccoli, cauliflower and the avocados together in a serving dish and serve hot immediately or chill and serve cold later.  (  Be sure avocados are well sprinkled with lemon juice and covered with plastic wrap to prevent browning, or  cut and add them to chilled steamed broccoli and cauliflower just before serving cold).
