Garlic Honey Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dip

Garlic Honey Chicken Wings

  • 3 lb Chicken Wings
  • 1 qrt Peanut Oil
  • 1 T Kosher Salt
  • 1 T Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 3 oz Thai Red Chiles
  • or 3 oz Serrano Chiles
  • 6 Garlic Cloves
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ⅔ cup Water
  • 1 T Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup Honey
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 3 T Ketchup

Blue Cheese Dip

  • 6 oz Salemville® Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 T Whole Milk
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 T Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Directions

Garlic Honey Chicken Wings

  1. Add 1 Tbsp salt and 1 Tbsp pepper to wings and fry in peanut oil on high heat to a golden brown. Cool on drying rack.
  2. Pulse chili peppers and 3 garlic cloves in food processor.
  3. In saucepan combine chili and garlic mixture, water, vinegar, sugar and salt. Simmer 10 mins.
  4. Add ketchup, sesame oil, ½ cup soy sauce, 3 chopped garlic cloves, bring to boil then turn down to simmer.
  5. Toss wings in sauce.

Blue Cheese Dip

  1. Add 4 oz blue cheese crumbles to sour cream, mayo, milk, garlic powder, onion powder and lemon juice.

  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Chill and serve.

  4. Garnish with remaining 2 oz blue cheese crumbles.
