
Italian Picklebread Sandwich
Ingredients (11)
- 1 giant dill pickle
- 1 tablespoon mayo
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 whole leaf romaine lettuce, chopped
- ¼ cup chopped tomato
- 1 tablespoon chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil leaves
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 ham slice
- 4 salami slices
- 2 provolone cheese slices
Directions
- Cut dill pickle lengthwise into 2 pieces.
- Hollow out each pickle half using a spoon to remove the seeds.
- Spread mayo into each hollowed out pickle half; top with oregano, lettuce, tomato, onion and basil. Season veggies with salt and pepper.
- Stack ham, salami, and provolone cheese together on a work surface; cut into strips the same width as the pickle.
- Stack meat-cheese stacks on top of the veggies and close pickle sides like a sandwich. Enjoy!
