  • 6 ounces unsalted butter (about 12 tablespoons; 170g), about 65°F (18°C)
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon (4g) Diamond Crystal kosher salt; for table salt, use half as much by volume or use the same weight
  • 1/2 ounce vanilla extract (1 tablespoon; 15g)
  • 3 large eggs, brought to about 65°F (about 5 1/4 ounces; 150g), see note
