- 8 ounces bamboo shoots
- 6 fresh water chestnuts
- 2 large carrots
- 1 cup Napa cabbage (shredded)
- 4 ounces snow peas
- 1/4 cup gingko nuts (canned)
- 1-inch ginger (crushed)
- For the Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons reserved mushroom soaking liquid (or vegetable stock)
- 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine (or dry sherry)
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- Optional: salt, accent or MSG to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or peanut oil, for frying)
