Pumpkin Season

Americans may love apple pie, but it doesn't hold a candle to pumpkin, a fruit so beloved that Connecticut colonists once delayed Thanksgiving until the maple syrup needed to sweeten the pumpkin pies was available and in hand. As it turns out, things haven't changed much when it comes to pumpkins (including the maple syrup for sweetening). We still love them, and they're still a delicious reminder that autumn is upon us.
