Yakatori (Japanese Steak)

Ingredients

1/2cup soy sauce
2tablespoons vegetabel oil
2tablespoons lemon juice
1tablespoon sesame seeds
2tablespoons white sugar
2-- green onions, thinly sliced
1clove garlic, minced
1pound sirloin steak, cubed

Instructions

Whisk together all ingredients except steak. Thread meat onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning skewers). Place skewers in plastic or glass container and pour marinade over meat, turning to coat. Cover and chill for a minimum of 4 hours. Preheat grill to High and position grate 5 inches from coals. Brush grate with oil and place skewers on grill. Grill 10-15 minutes, occasionally turning to ensure even cooking.
