Wild Rice Amandine

  • Yield 8 to 10 servings

You will get perfect rice amandine everytime when you follow this recipe.


1 stick butter
1 cup raw wild rice
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1 tablespoon chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon chopped chives or onions
1/2 pound sliced mushrooms
3 cups chicken broth


  1. Put all ingredients, except chicken broth, in heavy frying pan.  Cook until rice turns yellow, stirring constantly.  Put in buttered casserole with broth.  Cover tightly and bake at 350F for 1 hour.
