PrintEmail Ingredients 2 cups whole wheat flour1 cup all-purpose flour1 tablespoon baking powder1 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon baking soda1 1/2 cups milk1 cup packed brown sugar1 tablespoon vanilla1 cup walnuts, chopped Instructions Preheat oven to 300F. Mix together the flours, baking powder, salt and baking soda. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, brown sugar and vanilla, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Pour over dry ingredients. Mix well. Add one cup chopped walnuts. Bake at 300F for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes in a greased 8×4-inch loaf pan.
