Wagon Wheel Cookies

Ingredients

4-- eggs
2cups sugar
2teaspoons vanilla
1/2cup shortening, melted
4-- (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2cups sifted flour
2teaspoons baking powder
1/2teaspoon salt
1/2cup chopped nuts
-- Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs.  Add sugar and vanilla.  Blend in shortening and chocolate.  Sift flour together with baking powder and salt.  Add to chocolate mixture.  Stir in nuts.  Refrigerate dough until easy to handle or overnight.  Roll into balls.  Sprinkle with powdered sugar.  Bake on cookie sheet at 350F for about 10 minutes.
