Waffles with High Fiber and High Taste

  • Yield 10 servings


1/2 cup Wheat bran
1/2 cup Oat bran
1/2 cup Whole wheat flour
3/4 cup White flour
4 teaspoons baking power
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
2 1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 units eggs - medium to large


Mix the dry ingredients together well in a medium bowl. 

Mix the three wet ingredients together well in another bowl.

Combine the wet and dry mixes in the larger bowl and stir it thoroughly.

Bake in a preheated waffle iron.  

1 cup of mix makes an average sized sheet of 4 waffles and requires 4 minutes to bake.
