You are here: Home » Recipes » Turtle Brownies Turtle Brownies Recipe by mymiata2 Yield 25 servings PrintEmail Ingredients 1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix3/4 cup margarine, melted2/3 cup evaporated milk (like Carnation)1 package caramels1 package caramels1 cup chopped pecans3 tablespoons water Instructions Combine dry cake mix with melted margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Spread half of batter into greased and floured 9×13 pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Unwrap caramels and place in bowl. Add 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Microwave until caramels are melted and smooth. Pour caramel mixture over baked cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over melted caramel mixture. Add 3 T. water to remaining batter. Spread over top of pecan layer, using fingers to spread. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Refrigerate for easier cutting. Cut into squares.
