Traditional Rice Consomme

  • Yield servings


1 can beef broth
1 can beef consomme
1 cup uncooked white or brown rice
1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 cup onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 stick butter or margarine


  1. Place all ingredients except butter in a casserole. Mix well. Arrange slices of butter over the top. Bake covered at 350F for 1 hour.
