The Chocolate cake

Ingredients
- 2teaspoons soda
- 1cup hot water
- 2 1/2cups flour
- 1/2cup cocoa
- 2cups sugar
- 1/4teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1cup oil
- 1cup sour Milk (add 1 t. lemon jiuce to milk)
- 1teaspoon vanilla
- Fudge Frosting
- 2cups powdered sugar
- 1/4cup white syrup
- 1/2cup milk
- 1cup shortening
- 2 squares chocolate
- 1/4teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Dissolve soda in hot water and let stand until cool. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix all ingredients adding the soda water last. Batter will be thin. Bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes.
- To make fudge frosting: Combine all ingredients in a pot and stir over low heat until melted. Stir constantly bringing rapidly to a full boil and boil for 1 minute. Cool until lukewarm. Add 1 tsp. vanilla and beat until it is of spreading consistency.
