Thai-Style Limeade with Vodka

6 fresh limes
1/2cup sugar
2 1/2cups boiling water
1/4teaspoon salt
12 ice cubes, plus more for serving
8ounces vodka
Mint sprigs


  1. Squeeze limes into a pitcher, reserving rinds.
  2. Place rinds in large bowl and cover with sugar. Pour in boiling water; steep 5 to 10 minutes. Add salt and stir thoroughly.
  3. Strain warm liquid into lime juice. Add ice cubes and vodka and refrigerate. Serve over ice, garnished with lime wedges and a sprig of mint.
