Thadalies (Italian Sugar Cookies)

'These cookies are perfect for any festive occasion. Frost them with icing of different colors. They taste great and look beautiful.'


6 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
1/2 cup milk
5 cups all-purpose flour
5 teaspoons baking powder


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Beat the eggs, oil, sugar, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Add the milk, flour, and baking powder. The dough will be sticky. With floured hands, roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 7 to 8 minutes.

Yield: 4 dozen cookies

These soft and tasty cookies are best with buttercream frosting. Add a teaspoon of almond extract to the frosting for a special touch.
