TEXAS SHEETCAKE
- Yield 20 servings
Ingredients
- 2 sticks Butter/Margarine
- 1 cup Water
- 4 tablespoons Cocoa
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream or Buttermilk
- 2 -- Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 stick Butter/Margarine
- 4 tablespoons Cocoa
- 6 tablespoons Milk
- 1 box Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts
Instructions
FOR CAKE;
Bring to boil butter/margarine, water, cocoa, Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 11 x 17 jellyroll pan.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 – 30 minutes.
FOR ICING;
Bring to boil butter/margarine, cocoa, and milk. Add vanilla, powdered sugar, and nuts.
Spread over cake while BOTH are hot! Enjoy!
