Sweet Potato Praline Casserole

  • Yield 8 servings

Sweet enough to pass as a dessert.


3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1 1/4 sticks margarine, melted and divided
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans


  1. Preheat oven to 350F.  Combine sweet potatoes with 1/4 stick of melted margarine.  Add sugar and next 4 ingredients, mixing well.  Pour into 9×13-inch baking dish that has been prepared with non-stick vegetable spary.
  2. For topping, mix remaining margarine, brown sugar, flour and pecans; layer over sweet potato mixture.  Bake 35 minutes.
