Sweet Potato-Pecan Pie

This simple, yet delicious sweet potato pie is topped with a sweet and crunchy pecan mixture.
Ingredients
- Sweet Potato Pie:
- 1 1/2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups scalded milk
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
- Topping:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- To prepare pie. Combine first 7 ingredients in order given. Let cool. Put in unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350F until nearly set, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with topping. Continue cooking until don.
- To prepare topping. Mix and reserve for top of pie.
