Pour water around chicken. Tuck onion slices in and around the chicken. Sprinkle with hickory smoked saltand pepper. Bake chicken, uncovered, for 30 minutes in 375 degree F. oven. Pour barbecue sauce over chicken, bake 30 minutes longer.
