PrintEmail Ingredients 1 1/2 pounds ground beef3/4 cup soft bread crumbs3 tablespoons milk1 -- egg1/4 cup minced onion1 1/2 teaspoons salt -- Pepper1/4 teaspoon thyme1/4 teaspoon oregano1 -- garlic clove, crushed1/4 cup margarine3/4 cup onion, chopped1 -- (16-ounce) can tomatoes1 -- (6-ounce) can tomato paste1 -- garlic clove, crushed1 tablespoon parsley flakes1 teaspoon oregano pinch basil pinch thyme1/4 cup cooked crumbled bacon1/2 pound spaghetti1 cup small curd cottage cheese1/2 cup sour cream -- Parmesan cheese Instructions Combine beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, minced onion, salt, pepper, thyme, oregano, and 1 clove garlic. Shape into balls and cook in margarine. Drain. In same skillet saute onion. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, 1 clove garlic, parsley flakes, oregano, basil, and thyme. Add bacon and meatballs. Simmer covered for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, cook and drain spaghetti. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 3-quart casserole. Place one-half of cooked spaghetti in bottom. Spread with cottage cheese, sour cream and one half of meatball mixture. Add remaining spaghetti and top with meatball mixture. Top with Parmesan cheese if desired. Bake in 350F oven for 30 minutes.
