Special Dark Brownies

Ingredients

Brownies:
2cups sugar
4tablespoons special dark cocoa
1 1/2sticks butter, melted
3-- eggs, beaten
1 1/2cups self-rising flour, sifted
1tablespoon vanilla
Fudge Icing:
1stick butter
4tablespoons cocoa
1/3cup milk
1-- (16-ounce) package confectioners' sugar
1tablespoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. For the brownies: Preheat oven to 350F.  
  2. In large mixing bowl, combine sugar and cocoa.  Stir in melted butter.  Add eggs one at a time, beating with electric mixer after each addition.  Add flour and vanilla and mix well.  Pour into prepared 9 x 12-inch baking dish.  Bake 40 minutes.
  3. For the Fudge Icing:  In small saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, cocoa, and milk.  Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.  Remove from heat. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla.  Pour over hot brownies.
