Sour Cream Raisin Pie with Double Crusts

My mother has made this Sour Cream Rasin Pie for over 50 years. It is a family favorite. This pie is a quick, unique and tasty treat for any occasion.


1 egg
1 cup sour cream
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup California raisins
2 (8-inch) pie shells


  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. Beat egg and combine with other remaining ingredients (except pie shells). Pour into pie shell, and cover with top crust. Make three or four slits in the top crust.
  3. Bake 15 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to 300F and bake pie for 30 additional minutes.
  5. Let cool and serve.
