Ingredients Bars:1 1/2 cups granulated sugar1 cup sour cream1/2 cup margarine, softened2 eggs1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (about 3 large bananas)2 teaspoons vanilla extract2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 cup chopped walnutsFrosting:1/4 cup margarine2 cups confectioners' sugar1 teaspoon vanilla extract3 tablespoons milk Instructions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 15 x 10-inch baking dish. Cream together the granulated sugar, sour cream, and margarine. Mix in the eggs one at a time on low speed. Beat in the bananas and vanilla, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally. Add the flour, salt, and baking soda. Beat on medium speed for 1 minute. Stir in the nuts. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the center is done. Set aside to cool. To prepare the frosting, lightly brown the margarine in a saucepan, stirring to prevent burning. When lightly browned, remove from the heat. Beat in the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and milk.
