Snacking Muffins

Ingredients
- 1 cup white flour
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 2-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 -- egg
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2/3 cup shredded apple
- 2/3 cup chooped walnuts
- 1/4 cup raisins
- -- wheat germ
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375F. In mixing bowl, combine flours, baking powders, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In separate bowl cream together butter brown sugar, and egg until fluffy.

Add milk and flour mixture alternately to creamed mixture, stirring after each addition. Stir in apples, walnuts, and raisins.

Spoon batter into buttered or paper-lined tins, about 2/3 full. Sprinkle lightly with wheat germ. Bake in preheated oven about 25 minutes, until golden brown.
