Smothered Pork Chops – Reduced Fat
- Yield 6 servings
A great comfort main dish.
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 boneless pork chops
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups fat-free canned chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon browning and seasoning sauce
- In a medium skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray, saute onion and garlic over medium heat until tender, about 4 minutes. Add pork chops and brown on both sides. Add water and bring to a simmer. Dissolve flour in the chicken broth and stir into the skillet. Add browning sauce to give the gravy a nice color. Cook, covered, over low heat for 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
