PrintEmail Ingredients 4 cups water1 tablespoon salt1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper1 cup stone-ground white grits1/2 cup stone ground yellow grits3/4 cup smoked Gouda cheese1/4 cup whipping cream1/4 cup butter1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce Instructions Bring the water, salt and pepper to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the white and yellow grits gradually, whisking constantly until smooth. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Fold in the cheese, whipping cream and butter. Stir in the Tabasco sauce. Adjust the seasonings. Serve immediately.
