Skillet Pork Chops

  • Yield: 4 servings


4-- pork chops
2tablespoons cooking oil
-- Salt and pepper to taste
1cup uncooked rice
1cup tomatoes
1-- onion, sliced
1cup beef consomme
1/2teaspoon thyme
1-- green bell pepper, sliced


  1. Salt and pepper pork chops and brown in cooking oil.  Remove and set aside.  Pour uncooked rice into dripping in skillet and cook, stirring constantly until rice turns a light brown.  Place remaining ingredients in the skillet with rice.  Lay pork chops on top.  Cover and simmer around 45 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
