Easy Shrimp Curry

  • Yield 4 to 6 servings

Make it meal--serve it over rice!


3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup minced onion
1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
3 tablespoons flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1 cup milk
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups raw shrimp, cleaned
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice


  1. Melt butter.  Add onions and curry.  Blend in flour and seasonings.  Cook until thick and smooth.  Add milk and broth and bring to a boil.  Stir until thickened.  Add shrimp and cook slowly until shrimp turn pink.  Blend in lemon juice.
