You are here: Home » Recipes » Santa Fe Pork Pate Santa Fe Pork Pate Recipe by National Pork Board Yield 2-1/4 (9 servings) cups Prep 5 mins Cook 10 mins PrintEmail Ingredients 1 pound ground pork1 teaspoon vegetable oil1/2 cup onion, chopped2 tablespoons jalapeno chile, minced*1 clove garlic, minced1 teaspoon ground cumin1 teaspoon chili powder1/4 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped1/2 cup mayonnaise2 tablespoons fresh lime juice Instructions Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add onion, jalapeno and garlic; sauté until tender, about 4 minutes. Add pork, cook until no longer pink, stirring to crumble. Drain; add cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper. Remove mixture to bowl of food processor, add remaining ingredients and process until smooth, scraping sides of processor once. Serve chilled or at room temperature with crackers. *Wear rubber gloves when handling hot chile.
