PrintEmail Ingredients 1 ounce semi sweet chocolate1/2 ounce milk chocolate12 tablespoons butter, melted1/2 cup sour cream2 eggs1 1/2 teaspoons red wine vinegar1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1 tablespoon red food coloring2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1 cup sugar1/4 cup cocoa powder2 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt Instructions Preheat oven to 325F. Melt the milk and semi sweet chocolates together and set aside but keep warm. Mix together the melted butter, sour cream, eggs, vinegar and red food coloring. Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt together and whisk into the wet mixture in two stages. Whisk in chocolate. Scoop and place onto parchment paper covered sheet pan. Bake at 325 for 8-12 minutes until center springs back when pressed. Meanwhile prepare your choice of marshmallow filling, mint marshmallow filling, champagne filling or cream cheese filling. Once whoopee pies have finished baking and have been allowed to cool, spread or pipe onto one side of the whoopie pie and top with another to assemble. Still haven’t had your whoopie pie fix?
