Raisin Sauce for Ham

  • Yield 2 cups

This tasty raisin sauce with be a great addition to your next ham.


1 cup raisins
1 cup water
5 whole cloves
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
-- Dash pepper
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 teaspoon Worcesershire


  1. Cover raisins with water, add cloves and simmer for 10 minutes.  Add sugar, cornstarch, salt and pepper which have been mixed.  Stir until slightly thickened, then add remaining ingredients.
