Raisin Sauce for Ham

  • Yield: 2 cups


1cup raisins
1cup water
5whole cloves
3/4cup brown sugar
1tablespoon cornstarch
1/4teaspoon salt
-- Dash pepper
1tablespoon butter
1tablespoon vinegar
1/4teaspoon Worcesershire


  1. Cover raisins with water, add cloves and simmer for 10 minutes.  Add sugar, cornstarch, salt and pepper which have been mixed.  Stir until slightly thickened, then add remaining ingredients.
