PrintEmail Ingredients 1 1/2 cups sugar3/4 cup packed brown sugar6 tablespoons butter1/2 cup milk1 1/2 cups chopped pecans1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped Instructions Combine the sugar, brown sugar, butter, milk, and pecans in a heavy 3-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until mixture reaches 220F on a candy thermometer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla and chocolate immediately and beat with a wooden spoon for 4 to 6 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand until firm.
