Praline Bacon

This sweet-and-spicy bacon topped with pecans will be a hit at your breakfast table.


1 pound thick-sliced bacon (12 slices)
3 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans


  1. Arrange bacon in a single layer on a broiler rack in a broiler pan.  Bake on the middle oven rack at 425F for 10 minutes or just until the bacon begins to turn golden brown.  Sprinkle with a mixture of the sugar and chili powder.  Sprinkle with the pecans.  Bake for 5 minutes longer or until brown and crisp.  Drain praline side up on paper towels.
