Pig Eatin’ Cake

"Begin with a box, end with a beauty, and eat like a pig! This is an easy and excellent cake to take to parties, and I've used it on many occasions."


1 (18-ounce) box Duncan Hines Golden Butter Recipe cake mix
1 (8-ounce) can mandarin oranges with juice
3 eggs
1/2 cup oil or margarine
1 (16-ounce) container non-dairy whipped topping
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 (16-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained


  1. Combine cake mix, mandarin oranges, eggs, and oil.
  2. Beat on medium speed for 4 minutes.
  3. Pour into three greased layer cake pans.
  4. Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Mix whipped topping, pudding mix, and crushed pineapple together to fill and frost cake.

Tips From Our Test Kitchen: You needn’t frost the sides of this cake. Garnish with extra mandarin oranges and fresh strawberries.
