Peanut Butter Kisses
- Yield 4 to 5 dozen
Get your little ones involved with this recipe. They can unwrap the kisses and push them into the cookies.
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup extra crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 -- (9-ounce) package chocolate kisses
- Preheat oven to 350F. Beat first 6 ingredients at medium speed until fluffy. Sift the next 4 ingredients and add to above mixture. Mix thoroughly at low speed. Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press candy kisses into cookies. Cool on racks.
