Chicken Paprikash with Sour Cream Sauce

1-- cut up chicken
1/4cup vegetable oil
1teaspoon salt
1/4teaspoon pepper
1cup chicken broth
1tablespoon paprika
1-- chopped onion
1/4cup ketchup
1tablespoon parsley flakes
2tablespoons flour
1cup sour cream
-- Rice


  1. Brown chicken in oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Move chicken to one side, add onion and cook until tender.
  2. Stir in broth, ketchup, paprika, and parsley. Simmer covered 45 minutes or until chicken is tender. Remove chicken pieces. Put on serving dish and keep warm.
  3. Blend sour cream and flour. Stir in drippings in skillet. Simmer over very low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Do not allow mixture to come to a full boil. Serve on rice or mashed potatoes.
