PrintEmail Ingredients 3 -- eggs, beaten3/4 cup sugar1/4 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 tablespoon flour1/2 teaspoon nutmeg1 1/2 cups scalded milk1 -- unbaked (9-inch) pie shell -- Nutmeg to taste Instructions Combine the eggs and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat well. Add the salt, vanilla, flour and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and mix well. Add the milk gradually, stirring constantly. Pour into the pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 325F. Bake for 25 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
