Old Fashioned Baked Chicken

An easy, basic chicken dish.

Ingredients

8 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (skinless thighs can be used)
1 tablespoon paprik
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Salt to taste
1 onion, sliced in rings
1 (16-ounce) package carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
4 red potatoes, peeled and cut in fourths
1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a large baking dish, place chicken and sprinkle with paprika, garlic powder, pepper and salt. Add onion, carrots, potatoes and water. Cover with foil and bake 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 20 minutes longer to let the chicken brown and the vegetables get tender.
