“Nawlins” Seafood-Sausage Stew

  • Yield 6 servings


3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 pound fresh lump or claw crabmeat
1/2 pint fresh oysters, drained
1 cup smoked sausage, diced
1 tablespoon Jambalaya seasoning
3 cups spicy spaghetti sauce
1 cup water
4 cups hot cooked rice



n large skillet heat olive oil over medium high heat.  Add shrimp and onion. Sauté until shrimp just turns pink.  Add remaining ingredients and bring to quick boil stirring often. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.  Remove from heat.  Serve stew over rice.  A Caesar salad goes nicely with the stew too!
