Monte Verde Short Ribs

  • Yield 2-3 servings


4-6 -- short ribs
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
3 tablespoons flour to coat ribs
1 -- onion, chopped
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 cup vinegar (I like red wine vinegar)
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 cup beef bouillon
3 -- carrots in slices (more if you wish)


Salt ribs and roll in flour. Brown till crusty in butter. Combine next 6 ingredients in a bowl. Place carrots on the bottom of the crock pot, then meat, then pour sauce over. Cook for 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 on low. Serve with noodles or rice.
