Mock Lobster Salad

  • Yield 4 servings

Use this tofu-based salad to fill fresh hot dog buns or layer it between slices of your favorite bread.


1 pound firm or extra-firm tofu, drained, rinsed and crumbled
2 ribs celery, minced
1 tablespoon minced fresh dill
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon paprika
Juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 cup low-fat mayonnaise or tofu-based substitute*


  1. Combine all ingredients well. Do not overmix or you will break up the tofu.
*Nayonnaise is an eggless tofu-based mayonnaise substitute that can be found in natural food stores.
