Mint Simple Syrup
An incredibly simple recipe for making multipurpose mint simple syrup.
- 1 1/2 cups packed fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- In a small saucepan combine sugar, mint leaves and water and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Allow to simmer 2 minutes or until the consistency is syrupy. Remove from heat. Let mint leaves continue to steep until syrup reaches room temperature. Using a sieve, separate syrup from mint leaves.
