Mint Julep Tea

Iced tea gets the Kentucky treatment.

Refreshing and not nearly as potent as the real thing.


12 to 16 -- mint sprigs, plus more for garnish
1 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup bourbon
-- Juice of 1 lemon
1 -- recipe Southern Sweet Tea
1 -- lemon, sliced


  1. Lightly crush mint leaves with sugar in a serving pitcher. Add bourbon, lemon juice, Southern Sweet Tea and sliced lemon. Serve over crushed ice. Garnish each serving with a sprig of mint.
