Mint Julep Tea
- Yield 10 servings
Iced tea gets the Kentucky treatment.
Refreshing and not nearly as potent as the real thing.
- 12 to 16 -- mint sprigs, plus more for garnish
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/3 cup bourbon
- -- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 -- recipe Southern Sweet Tea
- 1 -- lemon, sliced
- Lightly crush mint leaves with sugar in a serving pitcher. Add bourbon, lemon juice, Southern Sweet Tea and sliced lemon. Serve over crushed ice. Garnish each serving with a sprig of mint.
