Add the syrup. Mix and microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir in peanuts. Microwave on high 4 minutes. Add butter and vanilla. Microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes. Gently stir in soda. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Break in to pieces when cool.
