Mango Butter

  • Yield servings

Serve on toasted whole wheat bread, muffins or bagels.


6 cups mangoes, chopped fine
2 cups water
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg


  1. Cook mangoes with water and lime juice until tender. Put through a sieve to remove strings.
  2. Add sugar and spices and cook until the consistency of butter.
